 Abstract:  Cleveland Sorosis was a women's cultural and service club founded in 1891 by former members of the Western Reserve Club (est. 1882) which had recently dissolved. Growing membership led to the organization of a separate club for younger women, called Junior Sorosis. One of Sorosis' many special interest departments was the Selover Club, founded for the study of parliamentary law. The collection consists of minutes, yearbooks, correspondence, record books, membership registration and pledge books, an annual report book, an 1894 club annual, a scrapbook, and a club history book. Also included are minutes of the Junior Sorosis and Selover Club.

 Abstract:  The Research Club of Cleveland was a woman's social and study club in Cleveland, Ohio, which included bi-weekly luncheon meetings at members' homes, with yearly meetings centered around specific topics. The majority of members were retired or former school teachers. The club was founded in 1895 as the Avery Literary Circle, became the Minerva Literary Club by 1898, and the Research Club in 1905. It disbanded in 1959 due to the declining health and age of the members. The collection consists of minutes, annual reports, yearly program booklets containing topics, names and addresses of members, constitutions and bylaws of the club, newspaper articles about the club, correspondence, and attendance lists.

 Abstract:  The Kappa Kappa Gamma Cleveland Alumnae Association (1901-present) was founded in 1901 as the Cleveland Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma in Cleveland, Ohio. The early goal was to demonstrate women's ability of intellectual advancement equal to that of men. In 1938 a Cleveland West Shore Alumnae Association was chartered, causing the name of the Cleveland Alumnae Association to be changed to the Cleveland East Alumnae Association. Around 2003, the Cleveland chapters merged, changing the name back to the Cleveland Alumnae Association. The Cleveland Alumnae Association follows a path set by the parent organization of first supporting its sisters, then participating in local service projects and finally, supporting the greater good. With these goals in mind, they act in a support and advisory role for the undergraduate chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at John Carroll University, Eta Zeta. They also participate in several philanthropic activities. The collection consists of budgets, correspondence, financial reports, histories, and a scrapbook.

The organization's constitution states that the "object of the League shall be to foster interest among its members in the social, economic, and civic conditions of their community and to make efficient their volunteer service." The organization served the community through various activities such as musical and theatrical performances, volunteer drives, and philanthropy and among other activities to respond to the communities needs. New membership requirements are also explained. The collection consists of by-laws, constitutions, annual reports, committee reports, minutes, brochures, pamphlets, magazines, correspondence, scripts, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, and blueprints.

Smith, who was chapter historian during the early years.

The club was founded in 1904 in Cleveland, Ohio, and originally was called the Music and Drama Study Club. They held monthly meetings featuring performances, primarily by members, and awarded scholarships to students at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, Cleveland Play House and Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as donating funds to various musical organizations in the community. The collection consists of minutes, annual reports, scrapbook materials, and clippings, as well as questionnaires, scripts for skits, and publications concerning scholarship awards.

 Abstract:  The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland Auxiliary is a group for spouses of physicians who are members of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland, Ohio. It was created in 1940 as the Women's Auxiliary of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Medical Society. Since its inception, the auxiliary has assisted the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland in many of its projects designed to promote and improve public health. The organization also submits a monthly column to the Cleveland Physician, a publication of the Academy. The collection consists of minutes, scrapbooks, and Presidents' Books, created each year by the standing president. The Presidents' Books include committee reports, correspondence, mailing lists, membership lists, programs and souvenirs of the year's events.
